Practice Information and Rules 

Practice Days and Times:

Days:  Monday, Wednesday, Thursday.

Novice practice will be from 5:45-6:45.  

Wrestlers and parents should wait at the outside door to the gym hallway at the Pottsgrove Middle School.  Entry will be at 5:35.  

The novice practice is for new wrestlers and returning wrestlers from 5 years old to 8 years old. Coaches will advise parents if adjustments to which practice wrestlers should attend after the first week. Parents are encouraged to stay in the wrestling room for this practice.  

Any parents remaining in the gym during practice with other children are asked to keep the children quiet during the practice.  No children should be left unattended. 

Advanced practice will be from 6:45-8:15.  

Wrestlers and parents should wait at the outside door to the gym hallway at the Pottsgrove Middle School.  Entry will be at 6:30.  Wrestlers from 9 years old to middle school should attend.  This practice is a faster pace practice.  Wrestlers must listen and follow the coach's direction and rules during this practice.  Wrestlers who are unable to follow the rules will be reassigned to the novice practice or removed from the team. 

Parents are NOT allowed in the wrestling room during practice. 

Wrestlers MUST bring a water bottle to practice. 

Wrestlers are encouraged to use the restroom before practice. 

THERE IS NO FIGHTING, BITING, OR PUNCHING AT PRACTICE, MEETS, AND TOURNAMENTS.  ANY WRESTLER VIOLATING THE RULES WILL BE REMOVED FROM THE TEAM.

Any parents and children staying in the school during practice are asked to be quiet and respectful (No horseplay or hanging out in the halls).  The club has a good relationship with the school district and we ask that everyone behave so that we can continue to use the school facilities for practice and meets.  Any novice wrestlers remaining after practice must be accompanied by a parent if they have a sibling in the advanced practice.  Novice wrestlers are NOT permitted to participate in the advanced practice unless invited by Coach Tim. 

No one is allowed in the other gym when attending wrestling practice.  Wrestlers and other children are prohibited from bringing balls into the school during practice time.
